All of the photographs were taken in circumstances that were serendipitous. In spite of appearances, fewer than 20% of these photographs involve people who knew they were being photo graphed. (I leave it to you to determine which and how many.) I became adept at quickly raising my camera and pressing the shutter-button without composing the picture before the scene changed. I later composed the picture by rotating and cropping in post-processing. I found that severe cropping can often greatly increase interest in a photograph. 70% of these photographs were severely cropped. Three of the pictures were taken through bus windows. One was taken from a horse-drawn buggy and one from a rickshaw. Two were shot from table tops by pointing the camera, pushing the shutter button, and hoping a passing person was in the frame. Each photograph is of interest to me because it brings back memories of circumstances in which it was taken. I hope they are of interest to you as well. Photographs are roughly in chronological order.
